He Real Madrid announced this Thursday the signing of the young Turkish midfielder Arda Guler from Fenerbahce until 2029.
“He Real Madrid CF and Fenerbahçe SK have agreed on the transfer of the player Arda Guler, that remains linked to our club for the next six seasons,” the Madrid club said in a statement.
The merengue team does not specify the amount of the operation, but, according to the Spanish press, the transfer would have cost about 20 million euros (21.7 million dollars) plus about eight million (8.6 million dollars) in variables.
According to local media, the Real Madrid has paid more than the 17.5 million euros ($19 million) of his buyout clause.

Güler has been the great soccer sensation in Turkey for a year and a half, where he is often compared to Mesut Ozil, his old teammate at Fenerbahçe.
Ozil, a former player at the white club that Guler joined, sees the young midfielder as “a world star”.
Arda Güler, who made his debut in the Turkish first division at just 16 years old, scored 6 goals last season and gave 7 assists in 1,550 minutes of play.
