Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee (D-Texas) has died on the age of 74 from issues of pancreatic most cancers, her workplace introduced Friday night.

The Congressional Black Caucus stated Jackson Lee was a “titan” and “steadfast member of Congress.” The congresswoman was a member of the Congressional Black Caucus.

“Jackson Lee was a patriot and a fighter to the tip,” the Congressional Black Caucus stated in a press release. “Phrases can’t categorical the sense of loss our Caucus feels for our beloved buddy. She will likely be deeply missed by all who knew her.”

She is survived by her husband, Elwyn Lee, and her two youngsters, Jason and Erica.

The congressman’s funeral continues to be awaited.
