And he added the following clarification within TikTok: “Calculating merchandise for approximately half a year for two people and it was distributed to 3 families. Thank God”.

To another who asked how much is the maximum food for the dog that can be sent to Chile from Argentina, she informed him: “If I’m not mistaken, up to four large ones.” She then clarified that the best thing to do in any case is to ask Customs for the marks authorized to cross the border.

One user commented: “In any case, in Chile you spend the same if it is for two people and for six months” and was immediately denied by the owner of the account: “I did not hit the trip to pay the same. Here this is approximately 1 million 1.5 in merchandise”.

“They buy cheap in Argentina and here in Chile they sell very expensive. Then the fault lies with the politicians or businessmen,” another noted, and she clarified: “It’s for family consumption.”

Flurry of Chileans in Argentina

The flood of Chileans in Argentina became notorious at Easter.

Juan Manuel Serrano, Migration delegate, told Clarín that from Wednesday to Friday of Holy Week, 20,032 passengers entered in private cars and buses, from Chile to Argentina, through the Cristo Redentor Los Libertadores pass.

In this way, in that week the international passage through Mendoza became the second most important after Ezeiza.

“Around 28,000 travelers, 18,000 people who entered Argentina and 9,500 who left for Chile, in just three days,” said the Head of the Border Center and Coordinator of the International Passage, Justo José Báscolo.

In Chile, the phenomenon was reflected on TV. “Inflation in Argentina has already reached 102%, despite the fact that products there rise even on the same day and there is some shortage, food purchases continue to be super convenient,” the star host of the Chilean chain Mega reported in April. , Karen Doggenweiler.

From a television mobile phone at Libertadores Customs, some Chileans comment on their experience buying in Argentina.

“The prices are more than reasonable; oil, coffee, sauce, flour, rice, milk and diapers, everything is two or three times cheaper than in Santiago,” said a Chilean tourist interviewed by Chilean TV.
