From aquaphobe to seabird conservationist, Prisilla Nghaangulwa needed to reinvent herself on the seas off Namibia.

Rising up within the desert nation of Namibia, Priscilla Nghaangulwa related water with loss of life. So when she determined to develop into a marine biologist, she needed to overcome her aquaphobia and rethink lots of her background and experiences. Now she spends her days at sea, working for seabird conservation and taking part within the Albatross Activity Power. It has been a protracted journey, each emotionally and career-wise, balancing a standard household background in a desert village along with her newfound love of the ocean.

Karin Slater is an skilled South African director and cinematographer. She has received many awards, together with at MIPDOC and the Worldwide Innovation Movie Competition in Switzerland. She is a member of the Academy of Movement Image Arts and Sciences (Oscars) with movies proven at Sundance, Berlinale and MoMA.
