The payment of the single annual vehicle rate 2023 started the past 1st of July with a series of inconsistencies in the information published on the values to be paid.

Before choosing the bank where the payment will be made, the owner of the vehicle must carry out the “check vehicle rate” on the page of Property Institute (IP).

A complaint from the owners of vehicles with termination 0 and 1, to whom it corresponds to pay this month, is that until yesterday the plate value was updated, which corresponds to the second installment of 250 lempiras and that the first was canceled in 2022.

Jorge Flores said that the Thursday before he arrived at a banking institution in the capital of the Republic to pay the single annual rate, the amount to be paid that appeared in the IP system was 2,840 lempiras for his tourism car in 2015.

He reported that the person who attended him at the bank recommended that he call 2240-1500 to consult with personnel from the IP Vehicle Registration Office and the answer was that he had already paid the 500 lempiras for that concept and his answer was that the data was not correct.

Jorge Flores said that he returned two hours later and the value to pay was no longer 2,840 lempiras but 3,090, which includes 1,200 for vehicle tax, 1,640 for municipal tax -Central District- and 250 for the second installment of the new license plate.

Other information that must be checked in the “vehicle tax inquiry” is the characteristics of the car, since a group of owners told this means of communication that the information that appeared did not correspond to their vehicles and therefore, the values to be pay were different.
