The US Supreme Courtroom on Friday rejected former Trump adviser Steve Bannon’s request to remain out of jail whereas he appeals his conviction for contempt of Congress.
Bannon was ordered by U.S. District Choose Carl Nichols earlier this month to report back to jail by July 1 to start serving his four-month sentence.
Bannon was sentenced to 4 months in jail in October 2022 after pleading responsible to ignoring a subpoena from the Home committee investigating the January 6 assault on the Capitol.
After Bannon was convicted, Nichols agreed to droop the jail sentence whereas Bannon appealed the conviction.

He ordered Bannon to report back to jail after the Washington, DC, Courtroom of Appeals upheld Bannon’s conviction final month.
Bannon filed an emergency attraction to the U.S. Supreme Courtroom final Friday in an effort to remain out of jail.
The Supreme Courtroom didn’t present a breakdown of the votes in its determination to disclaim his request.
