The workplace of Arizona GOP Senate candidate Kari Lake was placed on lockdown Tuesday after a marketing campaign staffer opened a bundle with a “suspicious” substance.
A marketing campaign spokesperson informed Fox Information Digital that an intern on the marketing campaign’s Phoenix workplace opened an envelope with a suspicious substance and a notice that stated, “warning anthrax.”

The marketing campaign referred to as authorities, prompting a response from a number of legislation enforcement companies and a hazmat staff.

The Phoenix Police Division stated the substance was examined and deemed “non-hazardous.”
“There have been no fast threats to the group and the occupants of the constructing shall be allowed entry shortly. Investigators have been assigned,” Phoenix police informed Fox Information Digital in an announcement.

Lake’s Democratic opponent, Ruben Gallego wrote on X: “I condemn any act of violence of threats towards Kari Lake, her workplace, or different public officers.”
“My ideas are with the staffer concerned, and I am grateful for the swift response by @PhoenixPolice, @PHXFire, and the hazmat staff,” he stated. “I hope the whole lot is resolved safely and shortly.”
