A man whom neighbors identified as a “bloody and fearsome hitman” was captured by the National Civil Police (PNC) in the Jerusalem neighborhood, Amatitlán, as the alleged perpetrator of the armed attack that occurred in the El Progreso neighborhood, in which he lost his life a man
The report from the 15th Police Station of the PNC details that a man was arrested in that place for illegally carrying a firearm, for driving a stolen motorcycle and as allegedly responsible for the death of a man.
The Ministry of the Interior identified the detainee as Erick Denilson Tobar Alvizures, 20, alias Seco, from whom a 45-caliber pistol was seized, with the registration number erased, and a charger with nine useful cartridges.
According to information from the PNC, on April 30, units were touring the Jireh El Progreso neighborhood in Amatitlán when they heard several shots near the bus station in El Progreso, so they went to the place to see what was happening.
Upon arriving at the site, they located a man who was lying in the park of that neighborhood, who had been shot to death.
The official report explains that witnesses to the event said that the person responsible for the armed attack had been alias El Seco, whom they classified as “a bloodthirsty and fearsome hit man” in the El Progreso neighborhood.
They also said that he was traveling on a red Freedom brand motorcycle and that he was wearing blue cloth pants, a blue shirt with white letters, and light blue tennis shoes.
Witnesses narrated that after the attack, El Seco fled to the Jerusalem neighborhood.

According to the PNC, the agents located a person who was riding a motorcycle and who matched the description of the witnesses, for which they began a pursuit.
The man drew a pistol and tried to shoot the officers, but they managed to capture him.
The authorities seized the weapon, the bullets and verified that the motorcycle had a robbery report from December 17, 2017 on 1st avenue, Cerro Colorado, Amatitlán.
The armed attack
The authorities mentioned that the person who was killed in the attack allegedly perpetrated by El Seco was identified as Juan Carlos Jiménez, 42, who was recognized by a sister.
As established, the victim used to drink liquor in that area, but on the night of that April 30 he was sitting on the bench of the sports field, when a motorcycle approached him and the hitman shot him.
