A historic port strike in the US has been suspended, based on the Worldwide Longshoremen’s Affiliation and the US Maritime Alliance.
A preliminary settlement was reached “on wages” and an extension of “the principle contract till January 15, 2025 to return to the negotiating desk to barter all different excellent points,” the ILA and USMX stated in a joint assertion on Thursday night.

Amid the strike, USMX stated Wednesday it remained “dedicated to negotiating in good religion to handle the ILA’s calls for and USMX’s considerations.”
