Her mistrust was palpable, she had hints of a possible betrayal, but it had yet to be confirmed. Thanks to an almost imperceptible detail, she was able to prove her hypothesis. An Australian citizen discovered that her boyfriend was cheating on her, after having resorted to her skills as an “amateur detective”.
The author of this story is called Jedda and lives in the state of New South Wales. It all started in mid-2022, when the young woman was still in a relationship with a man: she had been dating him for two and a half years.
an initial suspicion
In May, around those times, Jedda began to doubt her boyfriend’s fidelity. “He was behaving suspiciously. One day, supposedly, went out (to eat) with his friends“, she recalled through a video uploaded to her account @jeddamindtricks.

Therefore, Jedda, faced with this strange attitude shown by her boyfriend, decided to check his Instagram account. Next, according to her explanation, Jedda detected that the man had recently added a woman to her friends list.
Immediately, the Australian citizen went to the Instagram profile of the woman in question and checked her posts. The last image posted on the wall piqued her interest.
It was a photo of a breakfast, although not just any: coincidentally it was exactly the same as the one his partner always ordered in a restaurant, which he attended regularly.

The revealing fact in the photo
However, the most illuminating piece of information was still missing: Jedda recognized the big toe of her boyfriend’s hand in the image of the food.
As a result of this situation, the young woman chose to contact this woman, writing to her by direct message from Instagram. She soon got her number and called her on the phone.
“I talked for more than an hour and we both had genuine reactions: we caught him in his lie. Basically neither of us knew that the other existed. She went through the same thing as me, he lied to both of us,” he asserted.
The man had been dating both at the same time for those two and a half years, always taking care to avoid being exposed. But, in the end, the lie has short legs. “He played the perfect boyfriend,” Jedda declared.

“Is just a friend”
After learning of the infidelity, the young woman confronted her boyfriend through a video call.
The man reacted by denying the facts and also told her that the other woman was “just a friend.” But what he didn’t know was that Jedda had already spoken to her previously.
After that talk, the Australian citizen put an end to the relationship. And she did not see the infidel again. Some time later, Jedda made another finding: “At first I thought he was only cheating on me with a girl (…), although the information kept coming and I found out that he also had relationships with others,” she said.
The video by @jeddamindtricks racked up more than a million views. “I don’t understand… why do people cheat? If you’re not happy, end that relationship,” reflected one user.
