The Cannabis Program Registry, popularly known as Reprocann, went from being valid for one to three years.
The Government extended this Thursday the validity of the authorization certificate for the self-cultivation of marijuana for medicinal purposes. This is the Cannabis Program Registry, popularly known as Reprocann, which went from being valid for one to three years.
The new term was communicated through Resolution 766/2023, published in the latest edition of the Official Gazette and signed by Carla Vizzotti, Minister of Health. The officialization came just on April 20, when World Marijuana Day is celebrated.
“The Authorization Certificate issued by REPROCANN is constituted as reliable and self-sufficient proof of compliance with the conditions established in this Resolution during the term of three years from the date of issuance”, detailed in Article 1, through of which it modified article 10 of Resolution No. 800/2021.
According to the document, taking into account the “gathered experience, it is convenient to modify the term of validity in order to adapt it to the situation of the users, as well as to the relevant administrative and computer procedures.”
The Law for the Medicinal Use of Cannabis was enacted in March 2017, but for years access to treatment was restricted by its regulations, which was denounced by organizations of relatives of patients.
In November 2020, a new regulation was issued that expanded its use beyond refractory epilepsy, allowed self-cultivation, guaranteed provision for patients, encouraged research, and authorized public and private production of oil and other derivatives.
Finally, the Government regulated on March 12, 2021 the creation of the registry for the self-cultivation of marijuana. At that time it was valid for one year, while the term has now been extended to three years.
Users can register “by themselves or through a representative and obtain authorization to cultivate, to access the cultivation through a third person (cultivator) or through a civil organization authorized for that purpose.”
To request this registration, which can be done in the “exclusive” requirement to have a medical indication for the use of cannabis and its derivatives by a medical professional.
In Annex II, the cultivation of between 1 and 9 flowering plants is authorized, in up to six square meters indoors (it will not be allowed outdoors) and between 1 and 6 30-milliliter bottles or up to 40 grams of flowers can be transported. dry.
Medical cannabis oil: for the first time they include private companies in production
The province of Jujuy took the first step to include the private sector in the medical cannabis market. For the first time, the 100% state-owned company Cannava will summon producers who want to work as franchisees in the planting and harvesting stage of marijuana plants in greenhouses.

The project is far from the dream that Governor Gerardo Morales expressed on more than one occasion: that Jujuy ceases to be a tobacco province to focus on the cultivation of medical cannabis. However, from the company they point out that it will allow a new model of collaboration between the public and private sectors to be tested: the beginning of a diversification process.
Although there are several associative projects in the country, the one in Jujuy is the one that is in the most advanced state of production and commercialization and for this reason the relevance of the announcement of the incorporation of private companies, a long-standing claim of small local producers .
The producers, who will be selected through a public tender, will not be able to install their production units anywhere. The project launched this week provides for the creation of an “incubation park” within the property that the Cannava company has at Finca El Pongo, half an hour from the provincial capital, in the town of Perico.
