The Greek Foreign Minister has reacted to the arrest of the candidate for the municipality of Himara, Fredi Beleri.
“I want to position myself for something else which I consider very important, the arrest of a member of the Greek ethnic minority, Fredi Beleri, a candidate for the municipality of Himara in Albania, together with another Greek citizen.
I wanted to say that if there is no indisputable evidence, his arrest two days before the elections is a real scandal.
I informed Mr. Borrel about this as well as the Foreign Minister of Sweden, which also has the next presidency of the European Union. The Greek government will follow the case very closely”, said Dendias.
