Croatia’s international minister sparked controversy by greeting his German counterpart with a kiss throughout a gathering of EU ministers in Berlin on Thursday.
Gordan Grlić-Radman shook palms with German Overseas Minister Annalena Baerbock after which leaned in to kiss her.
He was criticized in some Croatian media stories, with ladies’s rights activist Rada Boric describing the incident as “extremely inappropriate”.
Mr Grlić-Radman defended the second as a “heat, human strategy from a colleague”.
Ms. Baerbock has not commented but.
