The results of the 14 May Presidential election announced by Anadolu in Turkey were almost exactly the same as the official results announced by the Supreme Election Board (YSK).

The Anatolian administration began to prepare for the elections in February 2022, and to develop and implement various systems to ensure uninterrupted broadcasting and broadcasting during the elections.

While the Election Tracking Center was established at the agency’s headquarters in Ankara, special mobile software was developed for reporting from the field.

This software was used by the Anatolian representatives to upload the photos of the results tables at the designated polling stations and then to do the counting in the Ankara center.

On election day, 2,500 Anadolu employees were on the field to collect the results, including permanent, part-time and freelance journalists and support staff, as well as staff from a contracted company.

To ensure complete accuracy, the results they uploaded using the specially designed system were checked and verified at the Ankara headquarters.

Anadolu started to offer the data to its subscribers only after the YSK lifted the broadcast ban and the results were obtained from a certain percentage of the ballot boxes.

When 99.87 percent of the nationwide ballot boxes were opened, the agency informed its subscribers that incumbent President Recep Tayyip Erdogan received 49.50 percent of the vote, while opposition candidate Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu received 44.89 percent.

While the third candidate, Sinan Ogan, took place with 5.17 percent of the vote, Muharrem İnce, who withdrew from the race, received 0.44 percent of the votes.

According to the official YSK results published in the Official Gazette, Erdoğan received over 27.13 million votes, increasing his share to 49.52%.

Kılıçdaroğlu came second with 44.88 percent of the votes with 24.59 million votes, while Ogan received 5.17 percent and Ince 0.43 percent.
