The famous Mexican regional music singer, Alejandro Fernández, gave a concert at the WiZink Center in Madrid, Spain. However, the artist issued a warning to the attendees before he performed the famous song Kill them.
The interpreter of Tantita pena indicated that, if the attendees considered that the lyrics of the song Mátalas were offensive, it was best for them to leave the venue for a while, since it was the moment that they would sing it. He also indicated that he would not stop singing the song, despite the harsh criticism he has had in recent months.
Fernández’s warning was given during a full house at the WiZink Center, he also had the company of his mother, Doña Cuquita and his girlfriend, Karla Laveaga. “I’m going to give those who don’t want to listen to it a chance, so let them leave the concert,” said the singer.
In this sense, El Potrillo affirmed that, despite the criticism and controversy of his song, he would defend it and stressed that this song was one of the most successful in the Spanish region, with which he managed to enter the musical repertoire of the Europeans.
“I am going to continue defending my song and it was with her that I entered here in Spain in fact. I’m leaving and whoever wants to stay and whoever doesn’t, let him go ”, warned Alejandro Fernández.
Where does the controversy of the song come from?
Criticism of the song arose a few years ago by some followers of Fernández, who indicated that the lyrics of the hit alluded to violence against women. In the specific case, some stanzas speak metaphorically about how to “show affection to a woman”, however, these can be interpreted as a direct apology for the wave of violence that women face.

In this sense, there are several artists who have joined the initiative to stop the normalization of violence against women in Mexico, so that their contents reflect less and less the rooted culture of violence against the female gender.
