Harry Potter continues to be one of the most popular sagas worldwide, being followed by millions of people of different ages around the world.
The immense success of this saga, based on the novels by JK Rowling, continues despite the fact that its last film was released more than 12 years ago.
Despite continuing to be one of the highest-grossing films in history, the passage of time has not forgiven the Harry Potter actors.
A clear example of this is that some of them have died in recent years and their followers continue to remember them with love and admiration.
Albus Dumbledore
This Thursday, September 28, actor Michael Gambon, known for playing Albus Dumbledore in most of the saga’s films, died at the age of 83 due to pneumonia, according to his family.
However, this is not the first artist who plays Dumbledore to lose his life, since in 2002 Richard Harris, who was present in the first two Harry Potter films, died at the age of 72.
Severus Snape
One of the most notorious deaths in the world of Harry Potter was that of British actor Alan Rickman, who throughout the saga gave life to the character of Severus Snape.
Rickman, who was a fan favorite, passed away on January 14, 2016 at age 69 from pancreatic cancer.
Hagrid
In October 2022, another of the most beloved characters in the Harry Potter saga also lost his life: the great Hagrid.
Robbie Coltrane, actor who starred in this Hogwarts guardian, died at the age of 72 after suffering a lower respiratory tract infection that caused heart block.
Narcissa Malfoy
Helen McCrory, just 52 years old, died on April 16, 2021 after a long fight against cancer.
The actress who played Narcisa Malfoy, mother of Draco Malfoy, Harry Potter’s rival at Hogwarts, appeared in the last three films of this successful saga.
Vernon Dursley
Finally, the last actor from the Harry Potter saga to die is Richard Griffiths, who played Vernon Dursley in these films.
Harry’s evil uncle, who became one of the most hated characters in the saga, died in 2013 at the age of 65 after complications from coronary surgery.
