In Florencio Varela, a 51-year-old woman was arrested, accused of causing the deaths of two pensioners whom she seduced on public streets to take them to their homes. He apparently drugged her with heroin or morphine and stole her savings and valuables.
The person arrested was María Ramona Villamayor, of Paraguayan nationality, and investigators suspect that she relied on the cooperation of other people who were not currently in custody to solve the crime.
Basically, in the case of María Nuria Gutiérrez, responsible for Florencio Varela’s Functional Instruction Unit 4, the prosecutor accused Villamayor of two “qualified robberies followed by murder”, whose victims were Ernesto Esteban Monroig (74) and Eduardo Micono (68).
In the first case, investigators determined that the woman met Monroig at an ATM, where she began talking, seduced him and eventually convinced him to take her home.
It is believed that when Villamayor arrived at the man’s home, he mixed a sedative into a coffee, causing the man to pass out and stole all of his belongings and money.
The family reported the incident following the man’s death at a health center in Florencio Varela, where he was admitted for poisoning by a toxic substance.
According to the inquest, the medical report revealed that the man eventually died after contracting Covid-19 in hospital.
In the case, prosecutor Gutiérrez considered that the incident should be investigated as a homicide since the death was a result of hospitalization due to the intoxication caused by the consumption of the sedative provided by the defendant, judicial sources said.
In the other episode, on May 16, the woman met Micono at Florencio Varela’s bingo.
According to the investigation, at some point the woman mixed a sedative into coffee, at which point the man felt unwell and asked if she could take him to a medical center.
However, it is believed that the defendant rerouted her route to her victim’s house and stole all her belongings as well as the pension money she had collected.
According to court sources, Micono was transferred to a care center where he was hospitalized for three months until he died as a result of “bilateral pneumonia due to bronchial aspiration.”
Investigators suspect that Villamayor has committed other similar incidents in recent months, including attacking men who were seduced and sedated in their homes.
According to the informants, during the arrest and search of Villamayor’s home, several items stolen from various victims were seized, including seven watches, several wallets of various brands and models, a blister pack of pills, a cell phone and documents.
