The manager has two broken ribs. She appeared in court for the assault and revealed that since then she has received threats: “I fear for my life.” What is seen in the video and what the Embassy of Panama said.
A concierge of a building in the Recoleta area denounced before the Justice that she had been threatened and physically assaulted by the wife of a diplomat who has lived there since March. The fight would have occurred because the manager challenged her daughter for leaving the elevator door open.
In the last hours, the TN channel published images of the video in which the aggression is seen in the hall of the building. The person in charge, who has two broken ribs and is undergoing medical treatment, denounced on cameras that she has received summonses and threats ever since: “I fear for my life,” she admitted in the interview with the same medium.
Juliana Gómez is the name of the Paraguayan woman who was brutally attacked in May. And according to what she said, since then she said she had received letters, documents, and summons not to involve Carlos Lawson, business attaché of the embassy of Panama; nor her wife who is the one who attacked her: Jessica Giovana Pineda Quinteros.
The conflict had its epicenter when the couple’s daughter left the elevator door open, disabling it completely. It is there when Juliana exchanges words with the minor that led to an argument with her mother on the sidewalk of Calle Arenales 1422.

What followed is what is seen in the video. To the diplomat’s wife arguing with the concierge and the subsequent aggression that included hair pulling, punches and the woman who was thrown to the ground.
“When the lady grabbed me by the hair and punched me in the forehead, I fell unconscious. I don’t remember when I fell. I have a bruise on my forehead,” Juliana said about the images released.
The concierge explained that prior to the attack and after the interdict with Lawson’s wife, there was an apology for “having spoken to the minor.” And although he thought the discussion was over, Pineda entered the building, but he retraced his steps and told him that “they would continue to leave the elevator door open,” to which the manager retorted that they “respect the rest of the building.” Then the brutal attack.
Panamanian diplomat Lawson was present during the discussion. And he tried to show solidarity with the goalkeeper after the brutal beating. However, the harassment since then, according to the statements of the person in charge, is from both of them.

“He put a legal muzzle on me, that’s why I can’t name him. He sent me a document letter – Juliana said -. When the conflict occurred, she called on the phone and spoke with a police officer for 20 minutes. The policeman deceived me that night and told me that if I wanted to continue with the criminal complaint, he was going to put me and the lady in prison. I was forced to sign the act as it was written because I needed medical attention, “the victim denounced on camera.
The event was recorded by two security cameras located in different sectors of the building. As reported by TN, the case is pending in the Justice and the test measures are being carried out.
“I feel alone and very afraid. I fear for my life. My daughter lives abroad, she is married and had a baby and that is why she cannot come back here. It is a nightmare for me, there are places where there are no cameras and I am afraid that these people will attack me,” said the person in charge.
The report from the City Police reported that on May 11, the day the attack took place, police personnel arrived at the scene and spoke promptly of “a mutual aggression between two women.” At no time is it found that the attack was solely against the wife of the Panamanian diplomat. It does speak of “both women accusing each other of assault.”
The Magistrate on duty ordered notifications to the two women who were linked and definitively closed the case.
The statement from the embassy of Panama
After the incident with Lawson and his wife became public, the Embassy of Panama in Argentina informed Clarín that they are “aware of what happened” and that “the legal team” of the diplomatic headquarters “is monitoring the case.”
Without further details, they pointed out that “an investigation” is being carried out. And that when they conclude the same “a pronouncement will be issued.”
