The Boca midfielder was surprised by three criminals at the door of his house when he was with his girlfriend. The vehicle appeared hours later.
The soccer player Cristian Medina suffered a violent robbery this Tuesday night when he was with his girlfriend in Castelar. At gunpoint, assailants threatened them and took the Boca player’s truck, which was recovered hours later.
The event occurred after 10 p.m., at the door of the midfielder’s house, in Castelar Norte, at the intersection of Italia and Islas Malvinas streets. It is an area of chalets, a few blocks from Santa Rosa avenue, which divides the municipalities of Morón and Ituzaingó.
The Boca footballer was with his girlfriend in the truck. He was arriving at his house when they were approached by three armed criminals; two got out of a gray Ford Focus.
They intimidated them with firearms and forced them out of the vehicle. They stole the vehicle, documentation and two iPhone brand cell phones.

After stealing Medina’s truck, a Volkswagen Amarok, the criminals fled the place and with the vehicle they stole another high-end car, a BMW X6; but this time in the Ituzaingó area.
This second robbery occurred at the intersection of Av. Intendente Ratti and Acceso Oeste and began with a crash: “The thieves were fleeing with the recently stolen Amarok truck and rear-ended the BMW,” confirmed an investigative source.
“After the rear hit, the driver of the BMW began to chase them and after several blocks of pursuit, the criminals ended up braking and taking the BMW,” he continued.
According to police sources confirmed to Clarín, the vehicle appeared in the last few hours in another area in the western suburbs, in Paso del Rey, bordering Moreno.
As reported by Primer Plano, the soccer player and his girlfriend were not injured. What’s more, the player is in perfect condition and this Tuesday he is already training with the xeneize squad in Ezeiza.
Meanwhile, the criminals are on the run and are wanted by the Police.
The case labeled “aggravated robbery by the use of a weapon” is being investigated by Prosecutor No. 7 of the Morón Judicial Department, in charge of prosecutors Matías Rappazzo and Hugo Ravizzini.
Medina is from the area: he was born in Moreno
The versatile midfielder who will turn 21 on June 2 and who started this Sunday in the Superclásico against River, is from the west of the suburbs: he was born in Moreno and lived there all his childhood.
He began as a footballer at a very young age in the neighborhood club, El Fortín de Moreno. And he came to Boca after a selection made by Diego Mazzilli and Hugo Perotti.
Medina made his debut in the Primera de Boca in February 2021 and since then he has been a starter.
