At least three armed criminals broke into a Gerli club in Avellaneda this Wednesday night. They threatened and stole belongings and cell phones from several people who were dining at the buffet. Prior to the escape, the thieves shot at least three times at the ceiling. Everything, in the middle of a Futsal game that was being played at the club.
The event occurred around 11:45 p.m. at the headquarters of the Youth Orientation Club, located at 1800 Santa Fe Avenue.
“Three armed men entered the buffet and through threats began to demand the belongings of the people who were dining in the place,” the police report states.
The sequence of the assault was recorded by security cameras located at the door and inside the premises, in which it is seen when the three suspects point at some people who were on the sidewalk and force them to enter the club.

After the abrupt appearance of the criminals, several of the people who were at the buffet managed to run towards the club’s 5-a-side soccer field, where a Futsal match was taking place. Others did not have the same reaction and were looted by criminals.
The stampede caused by the diners going to the field where the game was being played had repercussions on the boys who were with Futsal, who, seeing that people were running from the buffet, abandoned the game and ran alongside the crowd. people.
The images from the security camera located in the club’s buffet show the speed and intimidation caused in a few seconds by the criminals, who after taking various belongings shot at least three times towards the roof of the place.
Officers from the 2nd Avellaneda police station began the identification and search for the three suspects by order of the prosecutor Alejandra Olmos Coronel, in charge of the Functional Instruction Unit (UFI) 1 of Avellaneda, who characterized the fact as “robbery”.

“There were a lot of people at the buffet and on the back court there were many kids, people who rent the court,” explained Jorge, president of the social club.
In a conversation with the TN channel, the owner of the club said that “it was the first time that they stole like this from the buffet” and that after what happened, they are rethinking “closing the doors at night” or “putting up a blindex” to have greater security.
“The buffet works the most at night and has a lot of people access during the day. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen again. We’re calm because nothing happened – Jorge minimized -. It’s something that shouldn’t happen and we’re going to take the corresponding measures,” he closed.
