The process of electronic voting in Elbasan was difficult for the elderly, who were helped by family members.
Elbasani votes electronically for the first time. There are 224 polling stations in the city and village where the new mayor is voted today. Voting centers were opened at 7 o’clock and the first citizens voted. They share different opinions about the simplicity or difficulty of the process.
“It was a bit difficult, press here press there,” said an elderly woman.
“It was difficult, I didn’t know where to print it, I finally found it, it’s not for our age, it’s known,” said another.
There was also a delay in some polling stations where a citizen said that he waited for an hour.
“I have been waiting for an hour and now they are forcing me to leave and not vote at all.” The camera doesn’t work, they say, how can I do it, I’m leaving at all, there’s no understanding with these people, they want to take it at the table as they always do”, said the citizen.
In some city and village polling stations there are problems with the Internet access of the citizen identification device.
