In an atmosphere steeped in nostalgia and gratitude, thousands of parishioners from Cuts say goodbye they were quoted today in the Olympic Stadium to bid farewell to Monsignor Ángel Garachana.

At the age of 20 he made his temporary vows, at 25 his perpetual vows and at the age of 28 he was ordained a priest on March 19, 1972. In October of that same year he was sent to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish in San Pedro Sula.

It was ordered as Bishop of the Diocese of San Pedro Sula on February 3, 1995, the day he chose in honor of the Virgin of Suyapa. He shepherded his beloved Diocese of San Pedro Sula for 28 years and in January of this year he resigned. However, he has stated that he will return to Honduras to be a foot shepherd.
