A new massacre was recorded this Sunday night in the Villa Nueva neighborhood of the Honduran capital: three people died and one person was injured.
Preliminarily it is reported that in the massacre this Sunday, there were three deaths, two people who died on the spot and a five-year-old boy who died when he was transferred to a care center.
One of the dead was identified as Omar, another as El Zarco and the child has been identified as Otoniel Borjas. The little boy entered the maternity hospital with 12 shots in his body.
The bloody event occurred less than 24 hours after a massacre was carried out on Saturday that claimed the lives of 13 people in the Victora de Choloma neighborhood.
This has been one of the most violent weeks in many years in Honduras. At the beginning of the week, three young women were kidnapped and found dead in Cedros, Francisco Morazán.
On Tuesday, June 21, one day after the girls were found dead, 46 inmates in the Támara women’s prison lost their lives in a massacre allegedly perpetrated by the 18 gang.
On Saturday, June 24, 23 violent deaths were recorded in Valle de Sula alone, 13 of them in a pool hall in the Victoria de Choloma neighborhood, Cortés. Due to the increase in violence, a curfew was decreed in Choloma and San Pedro Sula.
