COMAYAGUA, HONDURAS.
At least three men were killed to shots in the morning hours of this Sunday (June 4) in the department of Comayagua, central zone of Honduras.
Until now the identity of the victims is unknownHowever, it was preliminarily revealed that it would be three young people. The multiple crime occurred in the village El Cantonjurisdiction of the municipality of La Libertad.
The bodies of the deceased were left bloodied and thrown on the edge of a dirt road that gives access to the aforementioned town. Agents of the National Police are already in the massacre scene to find out what happened.
Those responsible for the triple murder, allegedly, were on a motorcycle and, after committing the violent act, they fled the place without a trace.
MASSACRES THAT OCCURRED IN 2023 IN HONDURAS
so far 2023, There are 13 massacres that have occurred in both urban and rural areas in different departments of Honduras, according to official data from the National Police.
The government of Xiomara Castro, with the aim of controlling and reducing murders, decreed a partial state of exception in conflictive areas of the country’s main cities.
However, the results of said measure, which came into force in December 2022 and has been extended month by month since then, have been questioned by the population that does not see a reduction in violent deaths.
Honduran society continues to demand forceful actions from the government authorities on the issue of security.
