One of the detainees is the owner of the car in which the four criminals who entered Esteban Gabriel Izzo’s house escaped after shooting him to death and seriously injuring his wife.
Three men were arrested in Ituzaingó as suspects in the brutal crime of businessman Esteban Gabriel Izzo, shot to death during an assault in San Antonio de Padua, in which his wife, daughter of a well-known businessman dedicated to the manufacture of trailers and semi-trailers.
One of the detainees was identified as Walter Rodríguez Sierra (53), a Uruguayan citizen who is the owner of the car found on Friday night in which the gang would have fled after the crime in the house located at 1100 Italia Street. .
Judicial sources informed Télam that the operation was carried out at 2400 Juan Martínez street, between Cuyo and Hortiguera, in the town of Ituzaingó, where two 18-year-old youths were also captured, one of them the son of the previous suspect.
Police found 87 .40 caliber ammunition; 151 9 mm caliber ammunition, and 3 .380 ammunition.
The arrests took place in the framework of five raids carried out in different parts of Castelar Sur, Ciudadela and Ituzaingó.
In this context, at 3525 Gervasio Pavón street in Castelar, agents from the local Departmental Investigation Delegation (DDI) found parked on the street, in front of a kiosk called “Mandale mecha”, the gray Volkswagen Gol Power, patent FCB 164, used by the assailants and whose owner is Rodríguez Sierra.
Inside, the troops seized a mitten, a crowbar, a shear-type pneumatic cutter (padlock cut), and tools.

Sources close to the cause said that the “Uruguayan” had a satellite monitoring center in his house that controlled that business, so he was watching live when the police checked the hijacked car.
He also had on his cell phone, which was kidnapped, other addresses that were listed as targets to monitor.
All the kidnapped elements will now be examined by the Scientific Police and from then on new measures will be requested in the case.
Prosecutor Claudio Oviedo has already requested the Morón Guarantee Court for the formal arrest of those captured and is now awaiting its resolution.
All of them will be subjected to the Automated Fingerprint Identification System (AFIS) and electronic scanning for traces of gunpowder on their hands.
Another investigator close to the cause told Télam that they are trying to establish “if the criminals had as information that there was money kept on Izzo’s property, if the fact has to do with their activity or any payment to suppliers.”
Regarding the health of Silvana Andrea Petinari (56), the businessman’s wife, the spokespersons said that on Friday afternoon she was transferred at the request of the family to the Los Arcos Sanatorium in the Buenos Aires neighborhood of Palermo, where her condition is delicate and with intensive care. .
The brutal murder in the middle of a shooting
The crime occurred at 4:20 this Friday in a house on Calle Italia 1085 in Padua, in the Merlo district, when the couple was resting and were surprised by the entry of armed robbers.
Izzo had a weapon with which he resisted the assault and managed to shoot them, but he fell dead from the criminals’ bullets, which also seriously injured his wife. She was admitted to the Merlo hospital with a reserved prognosis.
According to police sources, there were four criminals and they arrived at the scene in a silver gray Volkswagen Gol car driven by a fifth man. In that vehicle they fled and during the following hours they were searched with a large operation.
The criminals entered the house after forcing an American-style wooden blind from the front of the property, on Calle Italia. Izzo woke up to noises and grabbed two weapons he owned: a Bersa .40 caliber pistol and a .38 revolver.
The victim’s wife, Silvana Andrea Petinari (56), gave details to the Police about how the violent episode was. The woman specified that as soon as they entered the house, the criminals beat her and caused a serious injury to her right eye.
Elsa, Silvana’s 83-year-old mother, was also at the home, who was in another room and did not suffer or see anything of what happened.
