Argentina’s Under-17 team faces Venezuela today in search of their second victory in the final hexagonal of the South American tournament that takes place in Ecuador.
The game is played at 6:30 p.m. at the Rodrigo Paz Delgado stadium in Quito and will be broadcast by TyC Sports.
The youth team led by Diego Placente debuted in the final phase of the tournament that provides four places for the World Cup with a 2-0 win over Chile with another outstanding performance by Claudio Echeverri.
“El Diablito” is the main figure of the contest and directly participated in seven of the team’s 11 goals with four goals and three assists.
By goal difference, Argentina is in second place below Ecuador and above Brazil, the other winners of the opening day.
Venezuela lost 2-1 to Brazil and in the first stage of the tournament they only won one of the four matches.
