Political rivalry, economic downfall, and an obscure environment provided an opportunity to the Khwarijs (TTP and other terrorist outfits) an opportunity to reorganize and continue with their destructive campaigns across the country. There should be no confusion in the fact that these Khwarijs work for the hostile agencies under the garb of their so-called ‘Jihad’. As per the Stanford Center for International Security and Cooperation on Khwarijs; “Approximately half of all Pakistani Taliban factions coalesce under the umbrella of the TTP, of the other half of Pakistani Taliban factions, some are only loosely affiliated with the TTP, while others have little to no association with the organization. Two notable examples include the Nazir Group and Hafiz Gul Bahadur Group, which are part of the Pakistani Taliban, but not the TTP.”
The TTP faction of the Khwarijs carried out their first attack in 2007 on a military convoy. Since then they have been active against the Islamic Republic of Pakistan using support from anti-Islam groups and other enemies of Pakistan. The government of Pakistan presented multiple dossiers on International level containing proof of Indian intelligence Agency RAW sponsorship to these Khwarijs. As per the sources; “Pakistan had long been telling the world community that the hostile intelligence agencies, especially India’s RAW (Research and Analysis Wing) had been involved in terrorist activities against Pakistan. India not only train the TTP but also supports it by providing arms and financial support to carry out terrorist activities against Pakistan. India wants more anti-Afghan Taliban recruits to utilize them as a useful asset for terrorist activities in Pakistan.”
According to one of the dossiers shared by Pakistan government with undeniable evidences; “Indian Ambassadors in Afghanistan have been regularly supervising various terrorist activities. Indian Ambassadors to Afghanistan and Indian counsellor in Jalalabad had detailed discussions with collaborators to provide financial support to TTP and dissident Baloch elements.”
Furthermore, “RAW is financing its frontmen in third countries. RAW made 2 transactions to its cut-out, to promote terrorism in KPK. One transaction of $28000 was transferred by Punjab Bank India and second transaction of $55,821 was made from Indian Bank in New Delhi to Afghanistan international bank. Multiple meetings were held by RAW officials with TTP Commanders. The evidence reveals that India paid $820,000 to TTP leadership through its collaborators. India also helped the TTP, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, and Hizb-ul-Ahrar reunite a few months ago. India has so far given the terrorist organizations Rs. 22 billion.’
An Indian analyst, in a piece published in Hindustan Times, has acknowledged that the Indian spy agency the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) has ties with the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). Bharat Karnad, professor for national security studies at the Centre for Policy Research and author of “Why India is Not a Great Power (Yet)”, writes, “Severing relations with TTP will mean India surrendering an active card in Pakistan and a role in Afghanistan as TTP additionally provides access to certain Afghan Taliban factions.”
All such proofs indicate that the Khwarijs are working on a foreign agenda to destabilize Pakistan, the only nuclear power in the Islamic world. The political leadership from all stripes must join hands and leave their differences behind in good faith for Pakistan. It is time that the Khwarijs should be annihilated once and for all. Politically driven petty propaganda narratives alleging LEAs and SF’s involvement in such heinous acts is deplorable and extremely dangerous. Political opportunists hidden in disguise of ethnic movement such as PTM supported by some political parties are using Peshawar SB terrorists attack for gaining political mileage in run up to the upcoming elections. These propaganda tendencies besides being toxic and dangerous are also detrimental towards national security and internal stability of Pakistan. People of Pakistan need to remain aware of such political gimmicks and discard all such evil actors and drivers of instability.
