Security sources said on Sunday that Turkey’s National Intelligence Service “neutralized” top PKK terrorist Eyvaz Beyaz, wanted in a cross-border operation in northern Iraq.

Sources, who did not want his name to be disclosed due to the ban on public speaking, reported that Beyaz, codenamed Zerdest Karadeniz, was targeted in the operation organized by the MIT in the Duhok-Gara region.

Turkish authorities use the term “neutralized” to imply that the terrorists in question surrendered or were killed or captured. PKK terrorists often hide in northern Iraq near the Turkish border to plan further attacks.

Beyaz, who joined the rural organization of the terrorist organization in 1994, attacked the gendarmerie units in Sinop in 2010 and a police vehicle in the city of the same name in 2011. Trabzon province of the Black Sea in 2012.

Wanted by Interpol with a red notice, Beyaz is also on the wanted list of the Turkish Ministry of Interior. The sources added that he was also responsible for the attacks on the operations launched by the Turkish security forces in the Zap region of northern Iraq.

Last Thursday, Turkish intelligence forces also “neutralized” the PKK terrorist organization’s alleged training officer, Ahmet Gümüş, and then on Friday did the same to Necirvan Yedi, another PKK terrorist wanted in northern Iraq.

Listed as a terrorist organization by Turkey, the USA and the EU, the PKK has been responsible for the deaths of more than 40,000 people, including women, children and babies, in its 35-year terror campaign against Turkey.
