Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign says it has raised more than $6.6 million in fundraising since last Thursday night’s news of the federal indictment against the former president.
The Trump campaign said Wednesday they had raised $4.5 million in grassroots digital fundraising, with another $2.1 million raised on Tuesday night, at the former president’s first major campaign fundraiser, held just a few hours after he was charged in federal court.

While Trump remains the leading frontrunner in the latest GOP 2024 presidential nomination polls, when it comes to pushing for campaign money, he faces serious competition from Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who raked in a record $8 million in the first 24 hours after he ran for office last month.

Trump seems to have another bump in fundraising after the latest indictment. Trump’s campaign said it raised $4 million in the first 24 hours — and $15.4 million in the two weeks — after he was indicted by the Manhattan district attorney in late March.

While most of Trump’s fundraising has come from small-dollar, grassroots contributions, the money raised Tuesday night in Bedminster — which matched the campaign’s goal — suggests the former president still has influence over some of the entrenched donors and bundlers in the GOP.

Ninety percent of the money raised at the fundraiser will go to the Trump 2024 campaign, with the remaining 10% going to Trump’s Save America PAC, which foots the bill for non-campaign related expenses, such as paying the expensive legal bills of the former president.
