Brazilian authorities have promised an investigation into the nation’s second airplane crash in lower than two months.

Authorities say at the least 12 folks have been killed, together with a child, after a small airplane crashed within the northwestern Brazilian state of Acre.

A press release from the state authorities of Acre mentioned on Sunday that the airplane was a single-engine Cessna Caravan and crashed close to Rio Branco Airport.

All 10 passengers – 9 adults and an toddler – in addition to the pilot and co-pilot all died on the spot, the report mentioned, including that an investigation will happen. It stays unclear what the nationality of the passengers is.

The airplane was headed to Envira, a small city within the neighboring state of Amazonas in Brazil. It was reportedly operated by native agency ART Taxi Aereo.

Citing native media, the AFP information company reported that the airplane burst into flames on affect, sparking a forest fireplace in a distant space close to Brazil’s borders with Peru and Bolivia.

That is the second incident in lower than two months, as fourteen folks died aboard a small airplane that crashed in Amazonas state in September. All of the victims of that crash – twelve passengers and two crew members – have been Brazilian vacationers.

Officers mentioned the airplane crashed because it approached the vacationer city of Barcelos in heavy rain and poor visibility.
