Two people were arrested and charged with drug-related crimes in South Carolina after authorities discovered that cocaine was hidden in a fake pregnant belly allegedly carried by one of the suspects.

According to the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office on Sunday, the Special Investigation Division and the Directed Patrol Unit conducted “proactive patrols” along Interstate 85 last month when deputies Anthony Miller and Cemeka Mitchem detained.

The sheriff’s office said deputies grew suspicious when Miller and Mitchem gave conflicting information about Mitchem’s alleged due date.

When Mitchem realized that the deputies were becoming more skeptical of her story, she tried to run, which resulted in the drugs falling out of the rubber belly.
