Two women, one 24 years old and the other just 13, were shot to death while they were at a fifteen-year-old celebration in the community of salama, touchin the department of Colon.
The victims were identified as Angie Cortes (13) and Jasmine Lopez (24), who died shortly after entering the emergency of the San Isidro de Tocoa General Hospital. Another woman was injured, but she is recovering.
According to witnesses, the young women were outside the house where the meeting was taking place, when a man appeared in an alleged drunken state.
Minutes later, the subject would have drawn his weapon, although the reasons are unknown, and fired repeatedly, injuring the three women.
The man fled the place and so far the authorities have not reported his capture. The National Police carried out operations in the community, but no suspect has yet been arrested.
