Vials of blood discovered at RNC DC headquarters: police

US Capitol Police stated Wednesday morning that they had briefly closed the Republican Nationwide Committee headquarters in Washington, DC, after a suspicious package deal containing two vials of blood was discovered.

Based on police, officers arrived on scene round 7:45 a.m. after the package deal was discovered.

“The package deal has been authorized by our Hazardous Incident Response Division,” Capitol Police stated in a press release later within the morning.

Police lifted the lockdown shortly after the package deal was eliminated. Based on police, an investigation into the incident and the supply of the package deal is ongoing.

The RNC thanked the officers for his or her fast work.

“The lockdown has been lifted and employees have resumed their workplace duties as we won’t be intimidated or deterred in our efforts to elect President Trump to the White Home,” RNC Chairman Michael Whatley stated in a press release.

White Home press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre stated throughout her each day briefing that the incident was “regarding” and condemned political threats.

“That has no place in our politics,” she stated.
