Virginia residence explodes after suspect fires flare gun throughout police search

A flare gun was fired at a house in Arlington, Virginia, throughout a police search Monday night, inflicting the dwelling to blow up. 

A number of police and fireplace items responded to the house within the 800 block of N Burlington after 8 p.m. 

Arlington cops had been making an attempt to execute a search warrant when the suspect discharged a number of rounds inside the house, inflicting an explosion.

Arlington County Police Division spokesperson Ashley Save instructed ARLnow: “The preliminary investigation signifies a suspect discharged a flare gun from his residence.”

The extent of accidents inside the house and the encircling space stays unclear right now. Neighborhood members have been instructed to shelter in place, per D.C.’s FOX 5

Police stated officers on the scene reported “minor accidents with nobody transported to the hospital.”
