The company apologized for the problems caused by some users being unable to access the internet for much of the day.

It comes after problems at Virgin Media O2 on Tuesday when more than 50,000 broadband subscribers reported outages.
According to Vodafone, the outage affected “just over 1%” of its 1.1 million residential broadband subscribers on Monday.
Several consumers have expressed displeasure at the difficulties, which coincided with major price increases, with one calling it “embarrassing”
Some customers complained that the outage hampered their ability to work from home, with one questioning whether Vodafone intends to reimburse them for the cost of using mobile data to continue working while the service is down.
Several said Vodafone failed to communicate with customers about the issues. “(Saying) ‘we are investigating’ almost 6 hours after a major outcry is unacceptable,” one user tweeted.
“I shouldn’t have to check Twitter and Downdetector (an outage monitoring site) to see what’s going on,” wrote another.
Vodafone states that the problems have not affected its mobile network.
According to Rocio Concha, Whichhead?’s of policy and activism, too many internet users suffer from poor service.
According to her research, “Millions of customers are not receiving satisfactory service at a time when they are also being hit by above-inflation price increases.”
“If you’re out of contract and not happy with your provider, now could be the time to switch,” Ms. Concha suggested.
