Male infertility can be caused by a low sperm count, smoking, certain diseases and, genetics. If a couple cannot become pregnant, the man should be tested to determine if he is the cause of the couple’s inability to conceive. Usually the man will have to provide a sperm sample and will have it tested by the doctor. Sometimes a blood and urine test may be necessary as well to determine if there are any other internal causes for infertility.
What You Can Do?
If you are determined to have one or more of the causes for infertility, talk to your doctor to see if there is fertility treatments available for you. If the causes are in your lifestyle choice, try to quit smoking, eat healthy foods and enjoy a workout at least 3 times a week.
