WhatsApp, the popular messaging network, has released two new Community features.
WhatsApp stated that the changes are designed to make managing large groups easier for admins and browsing for all users.
The first is a tool that gives Community administrators more control over who can join a group.
“When an admin chooses to share their group’s invite link or join their group in a community, they now have more control over who can join,” WhatsApp said.
WhatsApp now shows a list of people who want to join the group for admins, with the option to approve or deny their request.
The second new feature lets users see the groups they share with other people.
“Whether you’re trying to remember the name of a group you know you share with someone, or you want to see which groups you’re both in, you can now easily search for a contact’s name to see your groups in common” , said WhatsApp. .
WhatsApp announced that these two functionalities will be available internationally in the coming weeks.
