The encounter with the student had been going on for some time when he suddenly attacked Ingunn Björnsdóttir (63) with a knife. She fought back and suffered extensive damage to the muscles and tendons in her left arm and hand. She also suffered a deep cut on her right leg.
But it wasn’t until she felt a deep stab in her stomach that she thought she was going to die.
