WNBA champion Natasha Cloud doubled down on her criticism of the United States following the Supreme Court’s affirmative action rulings and a case involving artist Lorie Smith.
Cloud caused an uproar on Friday when she wrote on Twitter: “Our country is a mess in so many ways and instead of using our resources to make it better, we continue to oppress marginalized groups that we have attacked since the beginning of time” and that “Black/brown communities & LGBTQ+ men, we are too powerful to still address individual issues.”
On Saturday, Cloud spoke out again, targeting those who criticized her for her comments. She said those critics should come to her with something better than “moving to Russia or China.”

“I’ve been blessed to travel the world for my career. I’ve been to many countries where my human rights, health care, free/supervised education, don’t have to fear mass shootings or white supremacists, don’t have to worry worrying about the highest maternal mortality rates,” she wrote.
“Fewer police killings, no mass incarceration based on race, sufficient minimum wage, rights to my body as a woman, I AM THAT I CAN CONTINUE.
“Because these are things America is capable of… and when I say trash, I mean it. We choose to allow politicians to line their pockets and spew false and hateful ideologies to turn us against to set up each other.
“America is a business.”
The Washington Mystics guard came up with a hypothesis about whether white people would like to be black people.

“If I were to ask you, at this time in history would you want to be black in America or be part of the LGBTQ+ community. You’re all lying if you say yes. You see the differences. And if you don’t, then are uninformed, ignorant and or just plain racist,” she wrote.
“It’s clear and simple.
“You’re tired of me saying you’re racist. I’M TIRED OF YOU ARE RACIST.
“You don’t know me or my heart. But you still immediately hate me because of my skin color, being gay and being a woman.
“This is how some of you have been raised and trained to think. IT’S WRONG.”
Cloud then had a message for “my religious gun makers.” She added, “You people who killed Jesus.”
“Religion in this country is political, it’s weaponized, it’s hypocritical, it’s disappointing. It’s not love. Because God is love. In its purest form.
