“I traveled on the inaugural flight of Air Europa to Madrid, and I have already traveled with them two more times, it seems to me that the costs are affordable and it is a direct flight,” commented Cristina Paz from Sampedrana.
This April 27 marks the sixth anniversary of the arrival of Air Europe to Honduras. The European airline became the first to offer a non-stop direct flight to Madrid, Spain from Ramón Villeda Morales International Airport in San Pedro Sula. The direct flight lasts approximately 11 hours.
The route started temporarily but due to the high demand of passengers it became permanent. When it completed four years of operations, it was estimated that more than 70,000 people had traveled on its route between Madrid and San Pedro Sula.
In 2021, the airline added one more frequency, that is, it began to operate two weekly flights, on Mondays and Thursdays.
The Check in process on Mondays and Thursdays is from 5:00 am to 9:00 am.
According to the airline, any passenger who arrives between 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m. must proceed to make their corresponding date change.
Passengers must show up on time for the flight with the documents in hand, the counters close approximately an hour and a half before the departure of the flight.
Like all airlines, it is mandatory for all passengers to present their customs declaration QR code online.
Due to airport procedures, all passengers must go up to the waiting room between 7:00 am and 8:00 am.
Minors traveling with the stewardess service must appear on Wednesday from 9:00 am to 11:00 am and Sunday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. This applies to passengers who wish to check in one day before their flight.
