By decision of the jury, Antonio López became the eighth eliminated from MasterChef Argentina (Telefe, Sundays at 10:30 p.m. and Monday to Thursday at 10:45 p.m.).
“It’s a hard blow, nobody wants to be eliminated. I’m a little disappointed in myself,” said the man from Salta, in his farewell, after receiving the news from Germán Martitegui, Donato de Santis and Damián Betular.
The three chefs dedicated emotional words to Antonio, but above all they stressed that he has a great future in the kitchen.
“Their words come to my heart. I feel reflected in them and hopefully I can have the success they have,” Antonio added, very excited, who also highlighted the support received from Wanda Nara throughout the program. The host, as often happens, could not hold back the tears and also highlighted the passage of the young chef through the cycle.

“I could not reach the final, but dreams do come true. I always dreamed that I was here and I did it. What I have left to say is ‘yes, you can'”, closed the man from Salta, before retiring to pure applause and hugs.
The challenge of the elimination gala, carried out by Antonio, Aquiles, Rodolfo, Silvana and Rodrigo, was to prepare -in a time of 60 minutes- different free dishes, which would later be evaluated by the jury.
Those who presented a good preparation, Martitegui, Donato and Betular were giving ‘lights on’.
The first two participants to get two ‘lights on’ and, as a prize, go up to the balcony were Rodolfo and Aquiles.
Then, Antonio, Silvana and Rodrigo had 20 minutes and some new ingredients to prepare a dish, also with a free theme.
Silvana presented some bricks of cabbage, with mushrooms, pineapple and meat, something that surprised Martitegui, but he also highlighted: “The sauce lacks strength.” “The presentation does not help,” questioned Betular. Listening to them, Silvana burst into tears, perhaps knowing what her future would be in the competition.
Asian dumplings stuffed with prawns, pineapple, cabbage and spices were Rodrigo’s dish. “The dough and the sauce are correct, but the filling is not Asian. I ate a dough with sauce,” Betular judged. “There is a hint of flavors, but more in the sauce than in the empanada,” continued Donato.
Finally, Antonio made some sautéed shrimp with cherry tomatoes, grilled pineapple and mayonnaise with herbs. Donato opined: “I can’t melt these flavors on the palate. There’s also a lot of oregano, it’s very invasive.” “It has a lot of oregano. I don’t understand the concept behind the plate,” questioned Martitegui.

Who continues in MasterChef Argentina
After the elimination of Antonio López, who joins the first expelled, Emilia, Micaela, Carlos, Juan Ignacio, Agustín, Delfina and Estefanía, 8 participants continue in the culinary reality show, which will award a prize of 10 million pesos and the coveted MasterChef trophy.
They are: María Sol Ferrero, Daniela, Aquiles González Sviatschi, Silvana, Rodolfo Vera Calderón, Juan Francisco Moro, Candelaria Sorini and Rodrigo Salcedo.
They will be joined by the participants who return to the competition after passing the repechage, which begins this week.
