The next few days will be a roller coaster of weather situations in many locations in the country. This week, according to the INTA (National Institute of Agricultural Technology) Weekly Agrometeorological Forecast, the irruption of a cold air mass will cause low minimum temperatures in most of the territory. Records below 2°C are expected over the center and south of the country, even below -7°C in the south of the Pampas region and Patagonia. With this cold front, moderate to intense frosts will also arrive in the Pampas region, Cuyo and Patagonia. At the other extreme, in contrast, in the north of the country, temperatures could exceed 35°C.
The INTA anticipates isolated rains and storms over the east and north of the Pampas region, the south of the northwest (NOA) and the northeast (NEA) of the country for this week. Meanwhile, in the west, center and south of Patagonia and western Mendoza, snowfalls of varying intensity are forecast.
Likewise, there will be intense winds in Patagonia, Cuyo and the Pampas region.
Day by day
On Tuesday, unstable weather conditions would occur over the north of the national territory during with winds from the north sector. Towards Wednesday, the cloudiness will decrease with a slow rise in temperatures.
Between Tuesday and Wednesday, a bad weather system would affect the center of the country with abundant cloudiness, some scattered drizzle, winds from the southern sector and a slight drop in temperatures.
In Patagonia there is a probability of rain and isolated snowfall in the mountainous areas, a cold to cool environment is expected with probable moderate to strong frosts and intense winds from the northwest sector that will rotate to the west. Towards Wednesday night, the weather will be very windy and unstable.
Good sunshine is expected for Thursday in the north of the country, with winds from the northern sector and maximum temperatures that could exceed 35°C in the extreme north.
For its part, in the center of the country, Thursday will be unstable, prevailing winds from the north and the possibility of isolated rains and showers in the east of the province of Buenos Aires.
In Patagonia, the entry of an intense polar air pulse with very strong winds from the southwest sector is forecast on Thursday; with a probability of rains and snowfalls of varying intensity over the west and south of the region, including Mendoza, some of which can be locally intense with significant accumulations of water, snowfall and gusts. Intense frosts would be recorded in the west and south of the region.
The irruption of cold air would affect the center of the country on Friday with strong winds from the southwest sector and unstable weather over the eastern portion; there would be scattered frosts over the south of Cuyo and the pampean region.

For the next six days, INTA forecasts rains and storms of varying intensity in the north and east of the Pampas region, the south of the NEA and NOA. Likewise, it forecasts heavy rains and snowfalls over western Mendoza and western, central and southern Patagonia.
According to the agency, rainfall would be above normal in areas of the NOA, the north and east of the Pampas region, the west of Mendoza and the west and south of Patagonia.
On the other hand, lower than normal values would be presented over the rest of the territory.
Weekend
During Saturday and Sunday, the irruption of cold air would continue to affect the center and then the north of the country with variable cloudiness, winds from the south and southwest sector and unstable weather. There is a chance of rain and some isolated storms on the coast, Formosa and Salta.
According to INTA, there would be a marked drop in temperatures with moderate to strong frosts over the center and south of the country on Saturday, intensifying towards Sunday. Values lower than -7°C could be registered in the south of the Pampean region and south of Cuyo, and lower than -10°C in Patagonia.
During Sunday, there is a probability of some rain and snowfall of varying intensity over mountainous areas of Mendoza and the north of Neuquén. In the rest of the region, a high pressure system would dominate, generating stable weather conditions and good insolation.
Next week
From June 12 to 17, rains and storms of varying intensity are expected over scattered areas of the Pampas region, Cuyo, the south of the NOA and NEA.
In addition, rains and snowfalls are anticipated for the west, center and south of Patagonia and Mendoza.
In this way, “the forecasted rainfall would be higher than normal over the north of Córdoba, the south of the NOA, Cuyo and the north of Patagonia,” INTA indicated.
