Today, it is 24 years since the withdrawal of the criminal Serbian military and paramilitary forces from Kosovo, thus marking the end of the Serbian occupation.

The Serbian army has surrendered from the war of the Liberation Army on the ground and NATO bombings that have forced it to sign the capitulation agreement on June 9, 1999 in Kumanovo.

The agreement was signed by Michael Jackson, the first commander of KFOR in Kosovo and the former Chief of Staff of the Serbian Army, General Nebojsa Pavkovic, accused by The Hague of war crimes and genocide in Kosovo.

Among other things, the agreement stipulated:

c) that all persons and organizations with military capabilities leave Kosovo, including the regular army and navy forces, armed civilians, paramilitaries, air forces, national guard, border police, reservists, military police, information services, MUP -it, local, special, anti-rebel, anti-terrorist police and any group so defined by KFOR. d) an air safety zone was designated 25 kilometers beyond the border of Kosovo, and while in point e) a zone 5 kilometers beyond the border with the FRY was designated, where heavy weapons and the army could not be deployed, except for border soldiers.

The attacks, which continued for 78 days, were canceled on June 10, after the Supreme Commander of NATO, General Wesley Clark, reported to the North Atlantic Council that the airstrikes forced the Serbian occupier to begin the full withdrawal of forces from Kosovo.

With the entry of NATO, the establishment of the temporary mission of the United Nations Organization – UNMIK, which administered the country until the declaration of Independence on February 17, 2008, began in Kosovo./KosovaPress/
