A new attack with a drug stamp occurred this Sunday afternoon in the north of Rosario. Two men who were traveling on a motorcycle entered a house and fired a shotgun at point blank range: a 44-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter were injured.
At this time, the mother was hospitalized in “critical condition” and the baby was out of danger.
The event occurred around 4:00 p.m. in a house located on Calle Pacheco at 600, a few meters from the train tracks, in the Arroyito neighborhood.
There are two versions of the attack. The first is that at least two men on a motorcycle arrived at the home of a woman identified as Andrea Mariela S. and, using the excuse of selling a cell phone, took the opportunity to enter and attack her and her daughter.
The other version, according to the testimony of a relative of the victim, is that the woman and her daughter were leaving the house to run some errands and were intercepted by two men on a motorcycle who, without saying a word, shot them at point-blank range with a shotgun.
As they specified, the woman was injured as a result of the shooting, as was her 10-year-old daughter, who was also hit by some of the pellets. Her mother was taken in a car to the Alberdi zone hospital.
There, the doctors verified that she had injuries in the chest area and she was referred to the Clemente Álvarez Emergency Hospital (Heca), where she was operated on and was admitted to the intensive care unit, in critical condition.
Meanwhile, her daughter was taken to the North Zone Children’s Hospital, with injuries to her face, right leg, left arm and abdomen. Also, in the left ear. The girl was admitted for observation, out of danger.
The 10th police station intervened in the case. and is being investigated by the prosecutor Patricio Saldutti, who ordered the preservation of the scene so that the crime cabinet can carry out trace tests.
It also ordered the removal of ballistic material and the survey of video surveillance cameras in the area.
