This is the Productive Strengthening Program for bovines intended for beneficiaries that are dedicated to corral production that Minister Massa had announced in the midst of a drought.

The national government today made official the list of livestock companies that will receive funds through the Argentine Productive Strengthening Program for the Bovine Sector Corral Program created on March 20, 2023. It had been announced by the Minister of Economy, Sergio Massa, to temper the damages caused by the extreme drought that left producers without pasture or fodder to feed their farms and they were forced to part with the animals, taking them to fattening farms. Thus, it was decided to grant a subsidy to the latter so that they could sustain the business, ensuring the supply of meat on the counters.

Now, through Resolution 267/2023 of the Ministry of Economy and the Secretary of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Nation published in the Official Gazette and signed by the holder of this portfolio, Juan José Bahillo, the delivery of 88,150 was established. 400 pesos to 44 firms dedicated to corral beef production and the rejection of the benefit for only one of the applicants (See standard and annexes).

The program has the objective of assisting producers who enter and maintain bovine cattle in the fattening pen modality for a minimum period of 120 days and at the end, within a period not exceeding 30 days, send them to slaughter for processing. domestic market, through the allocation of an economic benefit up to a maximum limit of 100 heads, in order to ensure the supply of beef for domestic consumption and contribute to mitigating the impact of increased feed costs in its productive sector.

In addition, to be a beneficiary, producers must be registered in the National Sanitary Registry of Agricultural Producers (RENSPA) of the National Agrifood Health and Quality Service (Senasa); have declared their activity before the Federal Administration of Public Revenues (Afip) as Breeding of Bovine Cattle in any of its modalities (Wintering of Bovine Cattle, Fattening in Corrals and/or Production of bovine milk); have registered stocks of animals as of December 31, 2022 in the RENSPA in production units owned by them and have sworn declarations, with each application, the number of specific transit documents DTA or DT-e closed for Wintering in the Program in Corral provided for in Article 17 paragraph A of the aforementioned resolution
