In the case that International Women’s Day, banks will open free accounts from next week.

The list of financial inclusion activities in countries around the world included celebrations for women from March 8 to 31, which coincided with International Women’s Day celebrations.

The services provided to customers include opening bank accounts for free.

All that is required is a copy of the national identity card and there is no administrative fee or minimum amount for opening the account.

The Central Bank identified six financial inclusion events with the aim of spreading banking culture and attracting new customers to the banking system.

These events include Arab Financial Inclusion Day in April, International Women’s Day in March, International Youth Day in August, Farmers’ Day in September, International Savings Day in October, and International Day of Persons with Disabilities in December.

The Central Bank of Egypt announced a number of proposed activities:

Banks should do this as part of financial inclusion activities, including participation in banking events outside bank branches during these event periods and displaying suitable banking products.
