California inmate charged with tried homicide in assault on Kristin Good’s killer

A California inmate has been charged with tried homicide after he allegedly tried to kill one other inmate convicted within the homicide of Kristin Good, in response to officers.

Based on a launch from the Fresno County District Legal professional’s Workplace, Jason Richard Budrow, 43, was charged on counts involving crimes by a prisoner and possessing a weapon, in addition to enhancements for nice bodily harm, after he attacked Paul Flores.

Prosecutors declare that on Aug. 23, Budrow slashed the neck of Flores with a “manufactured weapon” inside Nice Valley State Jail in Coalinga. Flores was hospitalized in Fresno, however returned to jail two days later.

Flores was arrested in 2021, convicted in 2022, and sentenced final March, and is serving a 25-year-to-life sentence for the homicide of the 19-year-old Good, who disappeared from California Polytechnic State College in San Luis Obispo over Memorial Day weekend in 1996.

Paul Flores was convicted within the killing of Kristin Good.

Budrow was serving life with out parole for fatally strangling his girlfriend in 2010, when he killed his Mule Creek State Jail cellmate, Roger Reece Kibbe, 81, who was often known as the “I-5 Strangler” in 2021.

If Budrow is convicted of the costs in reference to the assault of Flores, he faces 27 years to life, plus a nine-year determinate sentence for the enhancements, the Fresno County District Legal professional’s Workplace mentioned.

Budrow’s arraignment is scheduled for Jan. 8.
