A music festival at the Rose Bowl was halted Saturday night due to severe weather.
The organizers of the Cruel World Festival announced that the event would be shut down around 9:30pm and would tell concertgoers to leave and go to their cars or other safe areas.
Due to bad weather, please leave the event area and go to your vehicles or protected areas outside the event area for safety. Stay tuned for updates.

Just after 9 p.m., a statement from the National Weather Service said radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm moving through the area, with winds possibly reaching 50 mph, pea-sized hail and frequent lightning.
The festival highlights goth rock, new wave and post-punk music. According to the festival program, co-headliner Siouxsie had yet to take the stage.
