India’s intervention in Pakistan’s socio-political affairs can be traced back to the early years of independence from the British empire. One such example of India’s military interference in East Pakistan which was an illustration of the unlawful utilization of power for the achievement of political goals and dismantling Pakistan as expressed by Subrahmaniyam, the former Head of Indian Institute of Defense Studies, once said that “what India must realize that the breakup of Pakistan is in our interest and an opportunity which will never come again”. and the creation of Bangladesh has already been acknowledged by the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi himself, when he visited Bangladesh in June 2015. The international community has witnessed the brutalities of Mukti Bahini in East Pakistan which eventually led to an Indo-Pakistan war in 1971. The interference has been unstoppable ever since while keeping the hostilities alive between the two nations.
Mukti Bahini, were the Indian launched soldiers who were very well trained by India. Along with heavy investments, including tanks and air power on many events, were likewise used to back up Mukti Bahini. An Ex Indian army chief VK Singh confessed in his book “Courage and Conviction” before Indo –Pak War in 1971, Indian army was already in cohorts with Mukti Bahini against Pakistan army in East Pakistan. The reality of Mukti Bahini was also written by Ex Raw Officer Ashoka Raina, he wrote ‘” Indian Raw agency used to train two thousand militants in every 6 weeks. These militants were designed to attack and scuttle away.
Now Let’s discuss the case of Dhaka University Massacre in which Pakistan Army was accused to attack the unarmed students in Dhaka University and for the genocide of Bengalis under the guise of a military operation. It is a false and fabricated assumption that the students and professor didn’t know about the attack. They were fully prepared, as they already blocked the windows and the doors of the university. The question arises why would the innocents stay in the university considering the military situation in the country? How they can be unaware of the attack? Pakistan Army has launched a military operation on Indian backed Students. The incident has been entirely fabricated by Indian Media over the years through baseless propaganda. Pakistan Army had the Information from spy agency that East Pakistan’s Dhaka University has become the center of all terrorist activities. A Bengali writer Sharmila Bose also wrote in her book Dead Reckoning that in March, Indian agents and Bengali nationalist started military training in Dhaka University. So a hub of terrorist’s activities in Dhaka University in which the well trained Indian backed students were getting fully trained and were fully equipped with weapons was the main reason of the Military Operation. Pakistan Army, with the help of its secret agency’s information, cleared out all the anti-state elements from Dhaka University, East Pakistan and thus restored peace in the country. After 10 months of Dhaka university operation on January 12, 1972 all efforts of Mujib-Ur-Rehman and Awami League were successful and East Pakistan became Bangladesh. But surprisingly, till today not a single military or political Leader, even Mujeeb –ur- Rehman after being the first President and having all the authority and resources, ever had an enquiry commission to root out the Incident of Dhaka University. That fact leaves us with a big question mark which no is ready to answer.
