The Commission urged the Electric Power Company (ENEE) to implement the new rate structure from the beginning of the fourth and last quarter of the year.

The reduction in the rate is based on the favorable difference between the real generation costs and those projected for the months of June, July and August, which amounted to nine million 837 thousand 644.89 dollars in favor of user demand.

In this context, an adjustment to the generation base cost was approved, setting it at $144.21 per megawatt, effective for the fourth quarter of this year. As a result, the tariff structure reflects a reduction in the real cost of the average tariff, decreasing from 5.40 to 5.24 lempiras per kilowatt.
